Melissa Wasserman, PsyD's expertise and passion lie in working with military connected individuals in both research and clinical capacities.

Melissa Wasserman, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist who specializes in posttraumatic stress disorder, military behavioral health, couple/family psychology, and corporate health & wellness.

She is the founder of Melilla Integrative Health which provides health & wellness education and provides consultations, classes, and workshops to foster whole body health and holistic healing.

Dr. Wasserman received her doctorate at Pepperdine University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at UCLA Semel Institute’s Stress, Trauma, and Resilience Track. She completed a formal 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA’s Nathanson Family Resilience Center in which she was a trauma therapist to individuals, couples, and families who have experienced trauma-related stressors and challenges. She is experienced in creating and implementing programmatic improvements to organizational structures. Dr. Wasserman is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology where she teaches master’s level students and provides clinical supervision to first-year doctoral students. She is the creator and author of a transition assistance program for military and veteran families.

Dr. Wasserman is a Los Angeles native and has a pit bull named Remy.
