Many Thanks!

My Husband Died Tragically and Unexpectedly - and was the Breadwinner in our Family.

I would’ve never imagined that seeing him when I left the apartment that morning, would be the last time we ever spoke.

On behalf of my son and I, we want to say thank you to you, the Resident Relief Foundation Board of Directors, Samantha, and the entire staff at Seville Apartments. I also want to say thank you to my friend Anashay who helped me so much. My husband died tragically and unexpectedly on Sat, May 26, 2018, while I was away working on a Saturday. I would’ve never imagined that seeing him when I left the apartment that morning, would be the last time we ever spoke. He was my best friend and he is the reason I am in America today with my wonderful son. I met him while still living in my home of Venezuela.

My husband was the breadwinner, so he paid for all of the major bills. My income from cleaning homes went towards extra expenses like my son’s tuition and car. We have one son in college with a 3.5 GPA. He graduated high school with honors so he is a good boy. We are still working hard to figure things out and adjust to a new normal, but the award from your foundation gave us a little more time to figure out other options for basic necessities like food and shelter. God bless you all!

Sincerely,

Sol and Jose V.
