It Finally Caught Up With Me...

Midvale, UT

I hadn't encountered any problems meeting my monthly rental obligation for more than nine years.

November 2018

When we were first contacted by this gentleman, we honestly didn’t think we could qualify him. He is on a fixed income and his financial obligations were too high. We encouraged him to get a part-time job, he did and that was all he needed to get it done. We were able to help him stay in his apartment AND help his financial future. Here’s his note:

Dear Sirs,

I am writing to thank you for the financial assistance that you provided to me to pay my rent for the month of September 2018. I have been residing at Pinehurst Apartments (Wasatch Property Management) in Midvale, Utah since February 2004. I haven’t encountered any problems meeting my monthly rental obligation for more than nine years. Over the past two years, I have been traveling to Temecula, California to help my sister. My brother-in-law is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. I have been a caretaker for him and I have been helping to relieve my sister of the stress of dealing with his health. He also has developed back problems. I cook meals for them and take him to medical appointments. I have been a tremendous support for my sister.

My sister is unaware that I have borrowed monies to do this which lead to my financial problems. It finally caught up to me this past September when I was unable to meet my rental obligation. Since that time, Ms. Oswald encouraged me to find a part-time job. I have been retired since October 2004 but I was able to get a job and am currently working 24-30 hours a week! I decided that it was most important to pay my rent, to have a “roof over my head” is most essential, along with my health and food. I am working on my debts to pay them down.

The financial planning information that Ms. Oswald sent is very informative and is making me take a serious look at my financial situation. I don’t anticipate any problems in paying my rent in the future. I decided to pay it first before it is due and I did so with October and November’s rent.

The work that you are doing is much appreciated. I thank God that you blessed me with this financial gift. Please be encouraged that you are so appreciated. Again, thank you so much.

Sincerely yours,
Dan W.
