Homeless 5 years ago, this family was on the verge again.

There have been very few things that made me cry in my lifetime. I don’t know what would have happened without their (Resident Relief) aid but I am beyond thankful every single day.

The amount of gratitude I hold for this foundation can’t be measured by words. When my family and I encountered homelessness in 2015 it was the most sad, terrifying and the toughest time we had ever experienced. As a mother and family manager, I just couldn’t allow that to happen this time and I went from fearful to hopeful when I discovered this angelic agency.

You see after our bout with being homeless in a new state, my spouse and I found our way and built a nice life for our family… I started a small business that has allowed me to continue homeschooling my children while doing what I enjoy and my husband found gainful employment after he finally recovered from his previous car injuries that prevented work before. In April this year, when my husband lost his job we were not prepared to cover the months largest living expense – our rent.

Although my husband quickly found work, we had a huge enough gap in pay that we didn’t have our rent and we were already facing eviction.

Although my husband quickly found work, we had a huge enough gap in pay that we didn’t have our rent and we were already facing eviction. I began to over worry & as one could imagine I was very fearful that we would lose everything we had just rebuilt. I explained our scenario and finances to my apartment manager (FPI Management) who pointed me in the direction of the Resident Relief Foundation. I was in such tears of joy and relief when we got the call that our application was approved.

There have been very few things that make me cry in my lifetime but this ultimate blessing deserved every droplet. I don’t know what would have happened without their aid but I am beyond thankful every single day for what myself and my family have been gifted.
